Cruentus is what Dream Theater would sound like if they played Death Metal. There are so many intricate elements that intertwine so perfectly, from the guitars and drums that defined early 90s Death Metal to the acoustic sections to the saxamaphone. There are also some clean vocals on here. They may turn a few people off, but I love 'em. They even play some smoothe jazz, which serves as a nice break from the Death Metal parts (see "Reborn from the Infernal Ashes"). Cruentus is definitely one of the most underrated Death Metal bands of the early 90s, and I feel they deserve more recognition.

This was pretty interesting, but a bit too long-winded for me. If they would've trimmed some of the fat, I could really get into it.
